About Me

Success. Everyone wants it! But its evasive. As an accomplished coach, team builder and change manager, Tom equips leaders for successful performance, effectively leading oneself, others and organizations to generate results! Tom varies his approach to match clients and their needs. Typically he first assesses ones practices and competencies to later leverage natural strengths in order to: Deliver personal effectiveness-- e.g., intrinsic motivation, proactivity and priorities; Set direction-- e.g., vision, customer value, goals, measures and planned execution; Engage others-- e.g., conversational and emotional intelligence, coaching and presentations; and Foster collaboration-- e.g., building trust, influence, team building and leading change. Tom coaches. Thus, he gets to the client's issues--deeply and profoundly. And he pulls out their ideas to yield action with commitment. If knowledge and skills are "tapped out," Tom seeks permission to teach and pursue new ideas, drawing on his education and experience in developing leaders. For 30 years Tom worked as an internal consultant with EG&G, Rockwell and Orbital ATK, developing leaders and aiding them in executing successful strategies. He has taught courses in communication for the University of Nebraska and Montana State University. In addition to his BS in Education and MA in Communication, Tom has completed a broad spectrum of training in leadership and organization development, and he is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and a Certified Professional Behavioral Analyst (CPBA). Tom is also an Associate Certified Coach through the International Coaching Federation. He operates from a Christian worldview, and he empowers others, engaging their inherent strengths, ideas and energy to enable success. On a personal note, Tom enjoys theatre, tennis, skiing, hiking and travel. Mostly he enjoys seeing others succeed as result of his interventions.
