Shot 63: IT’S OVER

By: Tom Newhouse in Leadership, 8 months ago

A Shot is a poignant leadership tip from “a rifle.”  Yes, leadership coach, Tom Newhouse, uses a rifle from his farming heritage to “tell it like it is.” —

THE END.  SO FINAL, but, wait, not so fast.  I was broken in two during a bitter fight—stock busted from barrel.  Then I was tossed in a pile of junk in the shop.  In time, I revived and observed many scenes played out in the shop, and from them I could imagine the goings on of the farm.  I heard things too, and once I heard Rudy talk about me and some of the things we accomplished.  You know, I realized even though I was disabled, I had left a legacy.  I lived on.

If you’re a leader, your life may never be over.  What you do and how you do it, will live in the lives of those you influenced.  How others after you carry on will be your legacy.  Yep, you get lasting influence.  What will it be?  Live today in the way you want to “live” later.  Write your own legacy.
