“A Time for Being could be described as a rejuvenating bath that restores something of the original freshness and gentle strength of the being, which you need in order to live daily life with vigor, to build authentic relationships, and face the unpredictable challenges of your commitments.”

  • Andre Rochais

There is no doubt we live in undefined times.  Change seems to electrify the air, our individual lives and in the world.  World wide media reports dire predictions, dark messages, political upheavals, sad stories and warnings of what is to come.  A sense of hope is rarely broadcast.

However, I also sense that these challenges of our current times have and will create new and remarkable solutions.  It always seems that when there is agitation….  It gives birth to creative and positive “TRANSFORMATIONAL CHANGE.”

For many individuals that journey through change, fear pounds on their door, and yet, when this discomfort emerges, it also brings an invitation to awaken, to discover life within, whereby something larger emerges and expresses itself as never before.

When this happens discomfort emerges in me, especially when I’m journeying into the unknown, I feel as though I can’t breathe, shortness of breath, my pulse begins to increase.  Gradually I find my way, or just maybe, “the way” finds me, breath by breath.  Within these experiences I have become and grown to a place in my life who believes in trusting myself, that I have the capacity to inspire, to create, to challenge and to love, unconditionally.

I have discovered the emergence of the being is the key factor in my personal growth.  I’ve recognized that my being solidifies my personality for the challenges of my life and inspires me to pursue personal and professional growth.

One of the ways I experience this is with taking time for Being… Time for Being are moments of contemplation when you invite yourself to descend deeply into the experience of your positive self.  This experience is then graced in solitude and silence…it allows you to connect directly with the positive realities in yourself.

During this time for Being it is possible for you to experience:

  • Emergence of new realities in your being
  • Essential courses of actions that give your life true meaning
  • Openness to an interior awareness of a greater reality than yourself
  • The desire to embrace your authentic truth and to live it fully
  • The humility to become more aware of your unique qualities, strengths, gifts, talents as well as ones vulnerabilities.

Key Reflection Questions:(important to note here, you will notice something releasing in you as you share your responses to your experience and story)

In the last 24 hours:

  • How did I begin to explore taking time for Being?
  • What did I discover?
  • What are the intentions do I have for taking time for Being?
  • What is it that keeps my heart beating?
  • What was it like to feel my energy as I take time for Being?

As you spend time with one or more of these reflection questions, describe your insights and discoveries and how you will integrate your new awareness of your being.  Focus your awareness inside of yourself, to an area where you find calm and ease.  Be gentle, locate a positive sensation(s), accept yourself as you are today and take all the time you need.
