Here’s the value of using this chart to recalibrate. All of us get discouraged and frustrated at times. When we’re in that negative state of mind, we hijack our lower brain (amygdala). We don’t think clearly. When stressed, we go into one of the 4 F’s; fight, freeze, faint, or flight mode, depending on our personality, which, builds up the cortisol (stress hormone) in our brain. The chart is designed to have you clearly identify the negative feeling you are experiencing, in the moment (Playing Not to Lose on left side of chart), take 3 deep breaths and move to the right side of the chart (Playing to Win) … to consciously shift from the negative feeling to the positive. Your brain will automatically make the connection and create the oxytocin (good chemical) you need to release you from the stress.

It’s important to note that the majority of the population is playing life not to lose … most of the time. How about you?
